Jean Toshiko Kato (Arita) of San Jose, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2013 surrounded by family and friends at the age of 68. She was born to the late Tommy and Anna Arita on May 1, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois. She married the late Carl Kato in 1967 and lived in Los Angeles before moving to San Jose in the early 1970s. She is survived by daughter, Michele; son, Rand (Jenny); grandson Brandon; sister, Ardell Furuta; as well as additional close and extended family and friends. Memorial Service: Saturday, December 7th at 10:30am, Wesley United Methodist Church, San Jose.
