I miss you & Bryson so much. I’m happy you’re together again but I wish I still had you both here with me. 

I met Joe at the Shirakawa Community Center on McLaughlin
We worked on the Iola Williams Senior Advisory Board for a number of years. He was also a very good friend of my husband, the late James Ellzey. They traveled from San Jose to Sacramento playing pinochle each week.  It is still hard to believe he has departed this life.  He has finally joined his son Bryson. My sincere condolences to his daughter Brandi and son Brian.

I wanted to send prayers to Brandi that God will keep her strong tomorrow and I’ll be over here at 2 pm my time thinking about she and the family.

Even though Joe Young is not biologically related to me, I have always considered him as my Uncle. His longtime friendship with my Father, Oliver L. Early is how we met. Uncle Joe was always full of Life, it was always a great time when he would come around with his hearty laugh and true Alpha Male personality. He always encouraged me to be the best I can be.  He is definitely loved and missed and May GOD COMFORT AND BLESS his entire Family AS ONLY HE CAN. Rest Well Uncle Joe. 

While I was serving  as the Principal of Emmanuel’s Christian Elementary School and when Bryson  was attending as a Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Grade outstanding student, Joe used to come on some Fridays to get his son at the end of the school day.  I will always remember Joe’s smile when they were together.  It was apparent that both of them were happy to see and be with each other. I believe Joe’s spirit and Bryson’s spirit have had a reunion and they are smiling again.

Joe and I started with I BM  in  Baltimore  in the 60's.  Both moving to San Jose in 1976.  Advancing  together, and remaining friends through the years.
