Julie Gutierrez

Julie Gutierrez (age 80) ascended into heaven on February 19, 2019. She was born on August 22, 1938 in Los Banos, California to Ramon and Alice Echavarria. Julie resided in Santa Clara County for the last 65 plus years. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jess Gutierrez; siblings Art Echavarria, Ernest Echavarria, Delores Aldama, Mary Baron, and Joe Echavarria; children Joseph Ruiz, Eva (Sal) Orlando, Chris (Jackie) Ruiz, Jess (Pat) Gutierrez Jr., Joanne (Stan) Turner and many loved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Julie started working as a DMV clerk, then worked her way up to the investigation field, while raising her three children. She retired after a 25 year career in the business, then moved onto what she really loved, spending time with her family and friends. Julie became everyone’s number one supporter in everything they had accomplished, and wanted to accomplish in their lives. She loved to travel to many different places, had an extensive doll collection, and was an accomplished painter and gardener. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Services will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. The rosary will be held on March 5th 2019 in the Chapel of Roses at 7:00 pm with viewing beginning at 6:00 pm. Memorial services will be on March 6th, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
