Kasumi Machida

Kay was born on January 20, 1925 and passed away on August 10, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband James Machida. She is survived by her children Joyce (Guy) Acheson, Steven Machida, granddaughters Lauren and Megan, sisters Mutsuye Ikebe, and Mari (Carl) Somekawa. She was also predeceased by George (Martha) Kawanami, Tomoye Yamane, Yoshiye Yamauchi, Dorie (Mich) Nakamura, Dollie (Thomas) Nishida, and Ernest Kawanami. She was a special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Besides raising a family, she had a long career along side her husband in a garden nursery on Senter Road. She was a very sweet and pleasant woman who also enjoyed her occasional trips to Reno.

A memorial service will be held at SJ Buddhist Church , 640 N. Fifth St., SJ, CA 95112 on Sunday August 22, 2010, at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to the Parkinson’s Association.
