Katherine Umbao Aberin

The funeral service will be held in the Sunshine Chapel at Oak Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Friday, March 5, 2021. Pastor Ed Sanares of Living Rock Christian Church will be officiating. Due to COVID restrictions, visitation will be limited with live-streaming available for those who cannot attend starting at 1PM. Burial will follow the funeral at 3PM.

Katherine was born in Charleston, South Carolina on July 10, 1976. She attended Independence High School and continued to pursue a career as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) after graduating from Bryman College in San Jose, CA.

Katherine was married to Ben Reyes; they were married in 2001 and later divorced in 2010.

Katherine worked as a RDA for several years. In her later life, she worked as a dental office manager and sales consultant for Rodan and Fields, MONAT and Valentus Coffee. Her hobbies included listening to music, Bruno Mars especially, shopping, and spending time with her children. She loved being a mother of five and documented her love for her children with countless photos and videos.

Katherine is survived by her parents Rodrigo and Emelie Aberin, brothers Rod and Michael Aberin, their wives Kathy and Kristen Aberin, sister Mary Jane Aberin-Marchan. her husband Jonathan Marchan, children Katelyn, Kayla and Jacob Aberin-Reyes, Mason and Madison Joe, nieces Mia Marchan and Khloe Aberin, nephews Jared Marchan, Tyler and Andrew Aberin, Kai and Kingston Aberin, and other family and friends.

The family of Katherine wishes to thank all those who have extended support during this difficult and challenging time. The tremendous outpouring of love and kindness are a direct reflection of the many lives she has touched.
