

Born on April 27, 1933 in Palmyra, Pennsylvania and died on June 12, 2023 in San Jose, California at the age of 90, known to most as Teesie (TC) she leaves her daughters Jeri Carmack and Mardi Smith and son Daniel Carmack with wife Tammy. Teesie had 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Teesie was a dedicated teacher for 50 years investing her support and skill set to every student and their parents. She retired from San Jose Unified School District, and enjoyed social invitations for ice cream with students who stayed in contact after graduating. Teesie created programs that forged opportunities to employ students with special needs and attended numerous out of town conferences.
She served her community in a variety of ways: girl scout leader, organizing boxes of food and arranging delivery fro her living room, never hesitating , counseling the troubled, calming the frustrated, always problem solving situations with positive outcomes. She never gave up and with clip board in hand usually had a list of details to concur her next challenge.
She and her husband proudly volunteered as Coast Guard Auxiliarists with Homeland Security for 15 years in Flotilla 41, Division 4, District 11N often using their personal vessel for search and rescue patrol in the Stockton Delta. Throughout her life she proved herself to be an accomplished singer, traveler, collector, role model to her children and all their friends Teesie had a strong faith, beliefs and touched lives with a joke and a prayer.
Parenting 4 children she made sure they understood cultural diversities, acceptance of others to be different and unique and insisting they had knowledge to behave appropriately in every life event. She was loved deeply by many people around the world.
A private burial with family members will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose. A Memorial Celebration will be held at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 500 Camden Avenue, San Jose.
