Leonila Cayabyab de Vera

Leonila is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Cayabyab and Francisca Prado Cayabyab; her brothers, Francisco, German, Delfin, Domingo, Ernesto and Jaime Cayabyab; and her son, Renato De Vera. Leonila is survived by her siblings Violeta Cayabyab Diaz, Johnny Cayabyab and Roland Cayabyab; her spouse, Rufo Austria de Vera; her children, Linda Lindley (Robert), Wilfredo De Vera (Lani Joy) and Marita Penoringan (Elmer); her grandchildren, Charmaine, Eileen, Robby, Rodelle Ann, Romeria, Jamie, William, Lyndon, Lester and Marielle; and great-grandchildren Jayden, Ian, Nori, Adriana and Nila.

Leonila was a loving mother, grandmother and wife, devoting her life to caring for her children and then her grandchildren, while working to establish a better life for her family, both in the Philippines and the United States. She managed the family business in the Philippines before immigrating to the U.S., where she continued to work consistently until her health prevented this. She will be remembered for the time she spent with her grandchildren, taking them to school, feeding them meals and merienda, and caring for them and will be dearly missed. Her legacy will live on through her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation and viewing will begin on December 21, 2025 at 3:30 p.m., with Prayer Service starting at 4:30 p.m., at Chapel of Oaks in Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA. Refreshments will be served after the services.

Visitation will be held on December 22, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at Chapel of Oaks in Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA.

Funeral Service will be held on December 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA.

Committal Service will be held on December 22, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA.
