A resident of San Jose for 68 years.

Born July 24, 1923 in Grand Coteau, LA to Angelina and Batiste Jolivet.

Leroy moved with his family to Beaumont, TX at an early age and at the age of 17 he moved to Oakland, CA to work in the shipyards with his father. He joined the Army in 1943 served until 1946 and received a Honorable discharge at Fort Ord, California where he met his future wife Frances Smith Jolivet. They were married for 57 years until her death in 2003.

They lived in Monterey, Ca from 1946 to 1954, and moved to San Jose in 1954 until present. Leroy was a retired Bricklayer. He was a member of Bricklayers Union Local 3-ca from 1953 until death.

He is predeceased by his parents Angelina and Batiste Jolivet, siblings Arthur, Yolanda, Alberta and Irene and step granddaughter Patrice Sutton.

Survived by his sister Juanita from Houston, Texas, step son Douglas Sutton and his wife MaryJo, step grandchildren Alex, Sutton, Lisa Sutton, Patrice Sutton, Maricia Sutton, Christopher Sutton, Danielle Sutton, Anthony Sutton, Nicholas Sutton and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Private Service.
