Maria was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She is survived by her devoted parents, Angela Quevedo and Alonso Escott, her loving husband Bruce Maggard, her adored children Isaiah and Naveah Maggard, and her siblings Alonso Jr., Matthew, and Sabrina Escott.
She was born in San Jose, California on January 19, 1985, and graduated from Oak Grove High School and attended San Jose City College to pursue her dream. She accomplished her dream and received her Cosmetology license in 2006. In 2006, she began her career and a new journey at Special Fx Salon, where she worked for 16 years as a hairstylist and makeup artist.
She met the love of her life in high school and their journey as a couple began in 2005, and their journey as a couple began with beautiful memories together. They were blessed in 2011 with their first child, Isaiah, and again in 2015 with their second child, Naveah. After 14 years together and a beautiful family, they united their lives together and got married on June 29, 2019.
Maria had many passions in life, she loved her Niners and Giants. She enjoyed beach days, going camping, family vacations to Disneyland, Lake Tahoe, and Hawaii. Spending time with family is what made her heart smile...but mostly, was watching her son play baseball and her daughter dance.
Maria’s smile would light up a room wherever she was. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. Everyone enjoyed being around and spending time with her. She was always so thoughtful, funny, helpful, giving, and humble. She welcomed everyone and treated everyone like family.
She will always be in our hearts forever.
