Maryjane is survived by her son Michael; daughter Michelle; three grandchildren Mikey, Rachel, and Alyssa; and her newborn great grandson Cade Grant - she is now his guardian angel. Maryjane is also survived by her beloved sister Joann, brother Tom, and her favorite son-in-law Jimmy Tex.
MJ was a small, mighty, and fierce lady. She was born in Utica New York; was raised in Willow Glen; and along with her departed husband and love of her life, Mike Melendez, raised their children in Almaden Valley. She had a successful career in the Silicon Valley as a semi-conductor manager. She was respected by her colleagues and team for her drive and empathy as a leader.
Her Italian spunk, stylish dress attire, and grit was what she was best known for. MJ’s energy was infectious, and when she walked into a room, everyone noticed her. Her heart and light were big and bright.
She loved cooking, shopping, golfing, the ocean, and fine wine. She taught through her actions; to work hard, put your family first, and keep God in your heart always.
MJ’s warmth, love and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the many hearts she touched throughout her remarkable life.
