Nhieu Le with Dharma name Hue Can was born 95 years ago and passed away due to natural death on January 13, 2026. During her 95 years of life, she was ordained by honorable Buddhist Master Thich Thanh Tu in Vietnam. For 36 years, she had followed the master’s teaching and made charitable acts part of her life. She had been recognized as the Master Nun by the senior monk, thus is now known as “Ni Su Hue Can”.
Her legacy was as a Nun outside of the temple but with deep association to the Vietnamese Zen Meditation Congregation both in Vietnam and in America. Well known for her persistent charity work in Vietnam and her inspiring acts with the Buddhist communities lead by Dai Dang Monastery located in Bonsall, California, she was both well respected and loved.
She had inadvertently placed profound influence and impact in charity to her family and the Buddhist community. She will be missed.
