Patricia Jane Higgin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Jane Higgin, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Patricia peacefully passed away on June 17, 2025, in San Jose, California, the place she called home for many years.Born in Brantford, Ontario Canada, on March 23, 1947, Patricia was known for her unwavering strength, warm heart, and deep love for her family. She brought joy and wisdom to every life she touched, always offering a listening ear, an open door, and sage advice. Her sense of humor, generosity, and kind spirit will remain forever in our hearts. Patricia was predeceased by her mother Thelma Brooks (Pierce) and her father Gordon Brooks. Patricia is lovingly remembered by her children, Shawn Higgin and Becky Schmal and her husband Mark; her grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Eclipse, and Mason; and her brothers, Randy and Phil. Her legacy of compassion, laughter, and love will live on through them and all who were fortunate to know her.

A private memorial service will be held by the family to celebrate Patricia’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by donating, in Patricia’s honor, to a Cancer Foundation of your choice.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
