With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Jimenez, Jr., who peacefully departed on May 26, 2024, after a brief illness. Born August 22, 1962, at San Jose Hospital, Robert grew up in East San Jose and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. He was a beloved long-time resident of the community.
Robert was the proud owner and operator of RJ’s Pool Service for many years, where he earned the loyalty and appreciation of countless satisfied customers. His dedication to his work was matched by his commitment to his community, as he devoted time to volunteering at the Cathedral of Faith, supporting at-risk parishioners with compassion and care.
Beyond his professional and volunteer endeavors, Robert embraced life's simple joys. He relished the sizzle of a barbecue, the serenity of fishing trips, and the warmth of friendship. A passionate fan of the Washington Redskins, he cheered for his team with unwavering enthusiasm.
Robert is now reunited in peace with his late father, Robert Jimenez, Sr., and other beloved aunts and uncles. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his devoted wife, Jan Jimenez; his mother, Ysabel Lucero, and her husband, Frank Lucero; his Uncle Alex Villa; his Aunt Mary Gilbert and Aunt Jenny Garcia; his sister, Desiree Cimino and husband Joe; and his nieces, Gabriela and Giovanna Cimino. He also leaves behind many cousins, relatives, and friends who will deeply feel his absence but will carry his spirit in their hearts forever.
In honoring Robert's wishes, a private burial and interment will be held. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
