It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Roy Steven Miller. Roy always said that only the good die young, yet he departed this earth 80 years young, asleep in his favorite recliner. Roy was born on June 4th, 1943, in Niles, Michigan to William “Skip” and Lydia Miller.
Roy graduated from Cupertino High, Class of ‘61, and proudly enlisted as a member of the U.S. Navy to serve his Country in Vietnam. Upon his return to the States, he joined business with his mother at Miller and Gibson before branching off to create Able septic. His nephew, Glen W. Gilbert, purchased Able Septic and allowed Roy the opportunity to take his life on the road. It was during this time that he met life-long friends, created many memories, and some pretty great stories too.
Those who knew Roy best, knew that he had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor. You were always guaranteed a laugh from one of his many, albeit probably inappropriate, hilarious jokes.
Roy has joined his older brother John in Heaven. He is survived by his younger siblings Mary, Marsha, and Joe, daughters Stacey and Kimberly, his five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. We invite you to join us in celebrating Roy’s life at a memorial service on Saturday, June 29th at the home of Glen W. Gilbert.
