Beloved husband of Mary Ann for 48 years passed away on October 28, 2010. At time of passing he was surrounded by family and friends. Mick was born in Denver, Colorado on January 31, 1932. He retired as a Bus Driver from the Santa Clara County Transit District (VTA) in 1998 after 19 years of service.
He spent his formative years in Denver moving to the California Bay area in the early 60’s. He moved to Janesville, Wisconsin in the early 70‘s where he worked for Hough Manufacturing, returning to San Jose, California, after 5 years.
He was an Elder and Deacon in the Presbyterian Church. During his earlier years in California Mick and Mary Ann were leaders of the Dinfrats of the Mount Eden Presbyterian Church in Hayward, California. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Janesville, Wisconsin. The Evergreen Presbyterian Church was his current church.
No one was a stranger around Mick. He loved all people, was intrigued by all cultures and was constantly talking with everyone he met. Life blessed him with many journeys to multiple states and countries. An avid competitor he enjoyed various sports and games. Gardening was by far one of his greatest talents and loves. Growing a 2 foot stick into 3 story 40 year old tree epitomizes how patient and nurturing he was. Mick always encouraged his daughters in all endeavors such as going to school, working, raising children, running, treating people with due respect, and above all becoming independent passionate women with resilient family values and bonds.
Mick is survived by his brothers Bellisandro “Bill” and Orlin: sisters, Lucille and Alice; daughters Leslie, Aida, Angela, Lanay and Lorraine (Loran); Grandchildren, Brice Sr., Gavin, Damian, Chyann and Roy; Great Grandson Brice Jr. “Alex” and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
