Our beloved father Sebastian Fred Galata (1928-2026) passed away in his home on February 25, 2026. He graduated from Omaha Technical Academy May 23,1947. Known for his strong work ethic and welcoming nature, he devoted his life to taking care of his family and developing relationships with his friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his brothers Phil and Fred, his Sister Mary, his children, Mike, Marie, Cindy, Elaine and Debbie as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons Sebastian, Rodney, and his beloved wife Erna Lee.
Visitation will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125, US, on April 2, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. The Funeral Service will follow at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125, US, on April 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125, US, on April 2, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
