Victor Thang Van

A funeral service for Victor will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125, witness cremation to follow.

Victor Thang Van, also known as Văn Đức Thắng, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, at the age of 63, after a courageous two-year battle with lymphoma. He was lovingly surrounded by his family and close friends in his final days.

He was born on February 17, 1962, in Saigon, Vietnam. A devoted husband, loving father, caring son, cherished brother, uncle, and friend,Victor brought warmth and strength to everyone who knew him.

Victor had a brilliant mind for engineering. A hands-on problem solver,he found great joy in exploring ideas, building things, and sharing knowledge. He had deep passion for tennis and biking, which brought him peace and happiness.

His inner strength, generous hospitality, and thoughtful nature left a lasting impression on his friends and family.

Beyond his professional life, Victor was a dedicated volunteer who gave generously of his time and resources to support charitable causes- especially those helping people in need in Vietnam.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Xuan; his children Andy, Monica, and Jessica; and his granddaughter Claire, who will carry forward his legacy of love, compassion, curiosity, and quiet resilience.

Victor’s life will be celebrated with heartfelt remembrance by all who had the honor of knowing him.
