

Virginia Irene Duran passed away at the age of 88 on October 5, 2018 in Morgan Hill, California. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family who saw her off to heaven.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Augustine Duran; Daughter Dawn Ash, husband Brady; Sons Danny Duran, wife Jennifer; David Duran, wife Theresa; and Steve Duran. Grandchildren Elizabeth and Lindsay Truttman, Sandra Tutupoly; Paige Duran; Daniel Duran; Great grandchildren Bella and Scarlett Tutupoly; Beau and Brenna Saunders.
Virginia was born in San Francisco, California on June 18, 1930 to loving parents Dominic and Theresa Caminata. She was an only child, graduated from Mission high school, worked at a bank and as a receptionist and met and married her husband of 63 years, Augustine Duran, the love of her life. Virginia and Augustine moved to San Jose, California in 1963, bought a house and remained there to build a life and raise their family.
Virginia had a fun and good-natured sense of humor. She would enjoy stories about the antics of her family and tell some about herself that made everyone laugh and laugh. She enjoyed the outdoors. The family would picnic, hike, camp and fish together. She loved classic movies, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., big band music, the beach, the sun, poker games with family and friends and scallops. Virginia's lifelong dream to go to Hawaii came true when she, Augustine and family attended her son Danny and wife Jennifer's wedding in Maui. Virginia talked about that trip often over the years. She was a good listener, caring, and had a deep faith in God.
Family was Virginia's heart and she will be missed every day. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandma. Her family will live joyfully in her honor and memory.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at Oak Hill Funeral Home in San Jose, California on October 18, 2018 at 12:00 PM with burial service to follow at 1:00 PM.
