After a long struggle with Primary Progressive Aphasia, Bill passed away ten minutes before his 64th birthday. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patt Martin of Fremont, CA, son Craig Martin of Pittsburgh, PA, and daughter, Elizabeth Martin of New York, NY. Bill also leaves behind brother John Martin of Arvada, CO and sisters Kathy Thomas of Johns Creek, GA and Mary Rausch of Columbus, OH plus many nieces and nephews.
Bill was born in Columbus, OH and graduated from The Columbus Academy in 1969. After graduating from Yale University in 1973, he began his career for Proctor & Gamble in New York before moving to California to begin work at Owens-Corning Fiberglas in Santa Clara where he had a 29 year career.
Bill was an avid golfer, skier, and hiker. He enjoyed coaching his children in a variety of sports with soccer as his favorite. He is remembered for his warmth and great sense of humor.
