Nivia Esther González Aquino

Nació el 30 de octubre de 1940 en Ceiba, Puerto Rico. Nivia dedicó su vida a su familia, y fue una esposa, madre, y abuela amorosa, cuyo hogar siempre estuvo lleno de cariño, fe, y cuidado.

Principalmente ama de casa, Nivia se dedicó por completo a la crianza de sus hijos y al cuidado de quienes amaba. Se sentía orgullosa de crear un hogar donde todos se sintieran bienvenidos y bien alimentados, y era conocida por preparar algunas de las mejores comidas que muchos habían probado. Para ella, alimentar a otros era una forma de amor, y su cocina era un lugar de consuelo y unión familiar.

Nivia también fue una costurera talentosa a quien le encantaban la costura y las manualidades, poniendo dedicación, y creatividad en todo lo que hacía. Amaba las aves y las orquídeas, a las que cuidaba con paciencia y alegría. Disfrutaba hacer la sopa de letras y de pequeñas aventuras en carro, feliz de ir a cualquier lugar mientras estuviera acompañada por su familia.

Mujer de fe cristiana profunda y firme Nivia fue un pilar espiritual para su familia. Oraba constantemente por sus seres queridos y encontraba fortaleza en su relación con Dios. Fue una mujer noble, esposa entregada, y madre ejemplar, cuyo amor y sacrificio dejaron una huella que perdurará por generaciones.

La sobreviven sus hijos Francisco Javier, Frances, Rolando, y Alan; sus nueras, Christy, Jessie, y Sol; y sus nietos, Benjamin, Janelle, Alexander, y Nahir. También la sobrevive su hermano, Néstor Samuel González.

La precedió en la muerte su amado esposo, Francisco “Pancho” Negrón Ramos.

Nivia será cremada, y los servicios privados se llevarán a cabo en una fecha posterior.

Nivia Esther González Aquino, 85, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully at home on November 30, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 30, 1940, in Ceiba, Puerto Rico. Nivia devoted her life to her family and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose home was always filled with warmth, faith, and care.

Primarily a homemaker, Nivia dedicated herself fully to raising her children and caring for those she loved. She took great pride in creating a home where everyone felt welcome and well fed, and she was known for cooking some of the best meals anyone had ever tasted. To her, feeding others was an act of love, and her kitchen was a place of comfort and togetherness.

Nivia was also a gifted seamstress who loved sewing and crafting, putting care and creativity into everything she made. She adored birds and orchids, tending to them with patience and joy. She enjoyed word-finder puzzles and little adventures in the car, happy to go anywhere as long as she was with her family.

A woman of deep and unwavering Christian faith, Nivia was a spiritual cornerstone for her family. She prayed constantly for her loved ones and drew strength from her relationship with God. She was a noble woman, devoted wife, and exemplary mother whose love and sacrifice shaped the lives of generations.

She is survived by her children, Francisco Javier, Frances, Rolando, and Alan; her daughters-in-law, Christy, Jessie, and Sol; and her grandchildren, Benjamin, Janelle, Alexander, and Nahir. She is also survived by her brother, Néstor Samuel González.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francisco “Pancho” Negrón Ramos.

Nivia will be cremated, and private services will be held at a later date.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Santa Rita Hospice team for their compassionate care and support, and to all family and friends who were present and offered comfort and love during her final days.
