Flavia Petrini, 93, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025. Born on September 17, 1931, in Ovindoli, Italy. She moved to San Francisco with her mother and father and her siblings in 1947. Her sisters, Dina, Carla and brothers Enea and Lino preceded her in death and she is survived by her sisters, Adrianna and Eva.
She worked as a young woman at Levi’s Strauss before becoming a mother and homemaker. Flavia’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and being a Nonna. Her and her husband Ermino (Nino) Petrini, who preceded her in death raised 4 children in San Francisco and Marin. Her 1st born daughter Anna sadly preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters Martha, Sandra and son Marty (Denise) Petrini. Her grandchildren, Rachel, Lisa, Steven, Matthew, Emily, Tino, Dominic, Tiana and her great grandchildren Frankie, Nolan, Grace and River.
A funeral service will be held on June 26th at 10am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Larkspur.
