

Ralph Gomez Passed away the evening of October 17, 2011 with his family by his side. Born in Cupertino, CA August 22, 1925, Ralph lived in the Bay Area his entire life. He is predeceased by his siblings and parents, Carmen Greck and Joseph Gomez, who emigrated from Spain. Ralph is survived by his loving wife Tecla, sons Greg and Steve, grandchildren Monica, Michael, Melissa and Ryan & many nieces and nephews. Ralph was a World War II veteran and served as Sergeant in the 1st Marine Division. He was later transferred to New Guinea where he served in the Sea Bees. Ralph was Business Manager and President of Union Local #7 and recognized by the Division of Apprenticeship Standards for the State of California. He guided the Local into an affiliation with Tile Layers Local #19. At the time of his retirement he was the 5th International Vice President. Once retired, Ralph enjoyed spending time at the Rod and Gun Club, fly fishing and dancing. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Food Kitchen or Hospice by the Bay. Memorial Services will be held on October 28th at Keaton's Mortuary, San Rafael at 7:00 PM.
