

Raymond attended Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California, where he excelled in basketball during his tenure at Tam. He graduated in 1973, and attended College of Marin in Kentfield, California, where he continued to compete in basketball. Later, he carried on his passion for basketball competing in community leagues. He was an avid basketball, baseball, and football fan. His favorite teams were the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.
Raymond was raised in the Catholic Church, attending Saint Mary’s, Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Sausalito, California. In his youth, he served as an Altar boy and would assist the priests in preparing instruments for mass. In recent years, Raymond became a member of the church and would regularly attend mass with his daughter, Geri.
Raymond worked various jobs before finding his career in Maintenance Supervision. He volunteered at Women Helping All People in Marin City, California, as a Maintenance Supervisor where he honed his skills. A short time later, he joined the Marin County Public Housing Authority becoming a Maintenance Supervisor for over eleven years working in the Marin City community. In 2007, Raymond was nominated and recognized for his outstanding service. He retired in 2009
In 2014, Raymond became actively involved in the community, serving on the Marin City’s Tenant’s Council as President.
Raymond’s biggest and most cherished accomplishments were father and grandfather. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, two daughters, Deachen Turner and Geri Danae Williams, and granddaughter, Clea Panger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Gwendolyn Williams, and brother, Rodney Williams.
He is survived by his three sisters, Renee Williams, of Vallejo, CA; Royna Williams, of Long Beach, CA; Rhonda Williams-Lee, of San Rafael, CA; and one brother, Ross Williams, of Marin City, CA.; his step-mother, Diane Saunders, Sacramento, CA; two aunts, Lois Stocks and Shirley Barnes of San Francisco and a hosts of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other beloved relatives and friends.
