William E. Klein

William E. Klein of San Rafael, Inverness Park, Lafayette and Montclair, CA passed away June 30, 2015 at age 91.Will was born in Chicago, IL in June 1924. He graduated from Lane Technical High School and proceeded to obtain several Master’s Degrees. He attended five different universities.

He was married to the love of his life, Florence (Connie) Klein.

Will had careers in both teaching (8th Grade Math and Science) at Orinda Intermediate School and in the U.S. Air Force from which he retired as a full Colonel. He served honorably in three wars.

He was a member of the Lions Club and SIRs Branch #47. Will had a passion for singing, reading, real estate investment, family and community.

Will is survived by five children: Jennifer (Edward McIntosh), Christopher (Blair Kaine), Bronwyn (Steve Martinez), Gretchen (Stephen Paulson) and Angus. Grandchildren: Miles, William, Hugh, Tatiana, Sophia and Zach; sister, Joan (Glen Ramquist), and sisters-in-laws, Nan Conner and Barbara Klein. He left behind numerous cousins, nieces and nephews from all across the country.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Connie; Brother, Ed; brothers-in-law, Joseph Conner and Bill Orr and sister-in-law, Jane Orr.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on July 26, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 10189 Star Route 1, Olema. Reception will follow at the Sir and Star at the Olema, corner of Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and Star Route 1.

Will was a man of many words, one of his signature ones being “Horsefeathers”!
