

Bernard “Skip” Brady, 79, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2012 surrounded by his family, after a long, heroic battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Bernard and Florence (Wyman) Brady.
Mr. Brady proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He then worked for IBM and later became an Electronic Technician for the U.S. Coast Guard where he retired after 32 years.
Skip loved repairing computers and loved the outdoors; he loved camping in New Hampshire with his wife,”Sonja” and their dogs. Skip loved to go hunting with his best friend since childhood, Jack McArdle they enjoyed taking their “guns for a walk”. Skip was a member of the Bass River Rod and Gun Club.
Skip was also a member of the Senior Citizens of Sandwich Club and enjoyed doing volunteer work for the Sandwich Council on Aging.
Skip is survived by his loving wife of 31 years (September 20), Sonja (Stangby) Brady of Somerville, MA. Skip was a beloved stepfather to 6 girls and he cherished all of his great grandchildren, grandchildren and his god-daughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5 Manley Street West Bridgewater, MA. 02379. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 7th between 1 and 4 at the family residence.
