David J. Conrardy

David J. Conrardy, 68, of Sandwich, MA passed away on December 24, 2021 at Milford Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newport, RI on December 10,1953, he is the son of the late Robert and Doris (Hendrickson) Conrardy. He was preceded in passing by his loving wife Doris Conrardy (Gonzalez) to whom they shared 35 wonderful years together. He is the brother of the late Robert Conrardy and his late wife Sheila, the late Alan Conrardy and the late Sandra Paul (Conrardy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

David was a resident of Sandwich MA formerly of Woonsocket and Bellingham. He was a graduate of Blackstone Valley Tech. He later joined the Navy and was enlisted from June 19,1972- June 18, 1978. He earned a degree from Newbury college and was a Respiratory Therapist at South Shore hospital for many years.

“Uncle Dave” was a kind and loving soul who dedicated his life to helping others and saving lives. To know him was to love him. Everyone who knew him said he is a “big kid” at heart.

He loved spending time and playing with his great niece and nephew. David loved his home in Sandwich. He really enjoyed relaxing in his hot tub especially on snowy nights. He loved to entertain with clam bakes and was a master at grilling. He also enjoyed going out for whole belly fried clams. One of his favorite restaurants was Wrights Chicken Farm.

Some of David's favorite things include Halloween, scary movies, the 3 Stooges, Stephen King novels, the Beatles and the Patriots. He also enjoyed collecting Civil War memorabilia.

He spent many happy years traveling with his wife and loved his 2 cats. He was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church where he served as council VP and custodian, and was part of the chime ensemble.

He will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Friday January 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM, Christ Lutheran Church, 485 Brick Kiln Rd, Falmouth, MA. Burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery will follow. A memorial visitation will be prior from 8:30-10:30 AM; Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 RT. 6A Sandwich, MA.
