Dawn Alyce Malone

Dawn Alyce Malone, born January 17, 1943 died peacefully on February 19, 2015 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Plymouth, MA.Dawn, a retired chemist, moved from Mt. Kisco, N.Y., to the Cape with her dear friend the late Minu Lestage in 1995.

Over the years, Dawn enjoyed bowling, gardening, cooking, fishing, clamming and taking bus trips to new places.Dawn loved all animals and birds and was devoted to her beloved cat Mocha.Dawn had a dry wit, a keen intellect, an amazing “map sense”, a compassionate heart and a generous spirit.A fiercly loyal friend and family member, Dawn will be deeply missed.

Dawn is survived by her father, Joseph P. Malone, aunt Florence Kiewra and cousin, Joseph W. Kiewra and his wife Kathy and their children, Joseph R. Kiewra and Kerith Brook Kiewra.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015, 11:00 –12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Joseph W. Kiewra.Arrangements are by the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA.Interment is private.In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory can be made to the MSPCA 1577 Falmouth Road Centerville, MA 02632 or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
