Diane R. Thompson

THOMPSON, Diane R. (Lavariere), 90 of East Sandwich, MA passed away at Cape Cod Hospital Friday October 29, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Valere Lavariere and Elenore (St. John) Lavariere in Ludlow, MA on July 31, 1931.

Diane grew up in Ludlow, and attended Ludlow High School. She enjoyed walking and biking along the Cape Cod Canal and the boardwalk. She was an avid reader and an accomplished tennis player for most of her life. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband Thomas, whom shared over 70 years together. Her son Bruce Thompson and wife Holly of Hamilton, MA, daughter Laurie Gage and husband Randy of Flowermound, TX, son Scott Thompson and his wife Cynthia Nicastro of Higganum, CT and grandchildren Carly Gage and Grant Thompson.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday November 4th at 10am, Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 RT. 6A Sandwich, MA. Burial will be private.
