Sagamore - Donald Richard “Dick” Craig, 84, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Falmouth Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley (Knight) Craig, and sons Brian, Glenn (Julie), daughter Laurie and Grandson, Bill and a nephew Tommy Haley and his wife Patsy.
Born in Missouri, he was the son of the late Opal (Chapman) Craig and Ashley D. Craig. He is pre-deceased by three siblings, Billy Gene, Thelma, and Elaine.
Dick served 26 years in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, tinkering in his garage, and taking rides to the boardwalk and beach.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Bourne Fire-Rescue & Emergency Services, 51 Meetinghouse Lane, Sagamore Beach, 02562 Attn: Rescue Fund.
