

Edith (Edy) Rose (Orfei) Antoncecchi 102, December 23, 1921- June 21, 2024 of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of East Sandwich, MA. Passed away peacefully with her twin sister, Norma (Orfei) Matthews, by her side.
Born on December 23, 1921, Edy was the daughter of the late Ada (Tartarini) (Orfei) Gilman and John Orfei. She was born and raised in Revere, MA by her mother and her second husband Paul. Edy was the
sister to the late John Orfei and is survived by her loving twin sister Norma Matthews.
Edy was the beloved wife of the late Leo J. Antoncecchi Sr., and the loving mother of the late Leo J. Antoncecchi Jr. and his wife Debra formerly of Westerly, RI and Robert M. Antoncecchi and his wife Kathleen of East Sandwich, MA.
Edy was the proud and loving grandmother of Kim DeCaro and her husband John, Leo Antonchecchi and his wife Davina, Jill Antoncecchi, Julie Coughlan and her husband Robert, Jenna Wallace and her husband Andrew, and Alex Antoncecchi.
She was blessed with great-grandchildren: Paul and his wife Jenna, Frank and his wife Czarina, Jade, Avina, Gabriella, Joseph(Joe), Jessica, Kiara, Clodagh, and Andrew (Drew), as well as great-great-grandchildren: Jiada, Jordan (predeceased), Austin, and Jason. She was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Edy attended nursing school at Kenmore Hospital in Boston. She was an LPN (OB) at Central Hospital in Somerville, MA, where she helped deliver most of her nieces and nephews. She also worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, MA.
Edy had a strong faith and was an active member of the Christian community. She was very creative and made puppets, participating in many Christian-themed puppet shows as well as being an accomplished organist.
