Edward Meehan
Well Driller
Ed Meehan 64 of Sandwich passed away peacefully at his home February 27 with his daughter by his side. Ed's life passion was his work. He first got his start in the Well Drilling business in the late 70's working for his then father-in-law Buster Hackett of Hackett Plumbing and Heating. He then went off on his own establishing Meehan Well Drilling from the ground up. Ed was semi-retired at the time of his death spending most afternoons caring for his only granddaughter. He is predeceased by parents Richard and Phyllis Meehan, brother Richard Meehan, and sister Alice Frye. Survived by daughter Lynn Meehan, granddaughter Samantha Pickrell, brother Robert Meehan, and sisters Phyllis Sargent and Debra King. He will surely be missed by all.
Ed's daughter invites all family, friends, customers, and anyone who knew and loved Eddie to join her for a Visitation on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Rt 6A, Sandwich, MA. Funeral Services will be on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM also at the funeral home.
