Jennie Helen Lesperance

Jennie (Kaminski) Lesperance was born on May 8, 1920 in Billerica, MA. She grew up in Worcester, MA where she met and married Valmore Lesperance. They raised two sons, Michael and Steven, moving to Norwood in the 1960s. She was employed as an accounts manager at Philips Manufacturing Co. in Canton, MA for more than 20 years. Upon retirement in 1979, the family moved to Sandwich where Jennie lived until recent months. For many years she was employed seasonally at the Sandwich information booth, a job she dearly loved. She passed away peacefully at Mashpee Rehabilitation Hospital on January 5, 2012 with her son, Steve at her side.

Jennie, who was preceded in death by her husband, Val leaves her family: two sons: Steve and his wife Lynn of Yarmouth Port, and Michael formerly of Sandwich, two granddaughters: Alissa of Portland, Oregon and Nicole and her husband Ciaran Flynn, and great-granddaughter, Isla Flynn of Arlington, MA.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Monday, January 9, 2012 in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A in Sandwich, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 am at Corpus Christi Church, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road in East Sandwich. Burial will follow at the Sandwich Town Cemetery.
