

She was born Joanna Elizabeth Joly on September 17, 1989 in Hyannis, the daughter of Michael D. and Barbara (Sims) Joly. She graduated from Sandwich High School in 2008. She attended UNH and College of Charleston. She was working at Cinebarre in Mt. Pleasant at the time of her death.
She enjoyed all animals, especially her cat “Tuna”. Her passion was horses. From the first time she sat on her gram’s horse “Tessa” until now, she loved every minute she was with horses. She realized her dream of owning a horse when she bought “Fenway” when she was in high school. Recently she worked at Old South Carriage Company in Charleston taking care of all the draft horses. “Earl” was her favorite.
Joanna enjoyed many vacations with family and friends to Florida, Mont Tremblant, Maine, and Mexico. She looked up to and adored her brother Bobby. Her many friends were special to her and she cherished each one.
She is preceded in death by her Grandparents Robert and Norma Sims and Robert and Rosiland (Demery) Joly, and an aunt Michele Joly
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents Michael and Barbara Joly of E. Sandwich, her brother Robert (Bobby), Aunts; Norma Sims Roche of Northampton, Megan Macauley of Bar Harbor, ME, Margot Joly and her husband Peter St. John of Weld, ME, and Ann Joly of Santa Rosa, CA. Uncle Steven Helme of Smithfield, ME. Cousins; Matthew St. John, Julia Macauley and Madeleine Macauley.
A visitation with family will be Tuesday, March 31, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home in Sandwich.
A funeral mass will be Wednesday, April 1, at 11:00 AM, at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in OstervillE.
