
Born in Mount Desert Island, Maine, son of the late Theodore Stanley and Dolores (Munn) Harmon, Mr. Harmon worked as a painting contractor for many years and he and his brother Bob owned Harmon Painting. Jack enjoyed artistic painting, horses. collecting antiques and traveling. He loved golden retrievers, and had adopted several through Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Masons for more than 60 years.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Beal and her husband Ken of East Sandwich, MA, Judith Blinn and her fiancé Greg Kent of Campton, NH and 2 sons, John Harmon, of Dennis, MA and Mark Harmon and his wife Lori of Dennis, MA. Also his brothers, Robert F. Harmon of Osterville, MA and Theodore S. Harmon of Barnstable, MA, grandchildren, Rachael L. Dunbar, Nicole Hedin, Christopher W. Blinn, Cheryl Harmon and Amanda Harmon; 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his dear friends, Jack and Rachel Newkirk. He was the brother of the late Claire Peacock.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the caregivers at Cape Heritage Nursing Home and Rehabilitation for their comfort and care throughout his residency.

Box 808 Hudson, MA 01749-0808 or Hospice Services of Massachusetts, 577 Main Street, Wareham, MA, who helped enormously during his final days. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hillside Cemetery in Osterville.
