

Lorraine (Murray) Pietrantonio, a resident of Marstons Mills, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at her home. She was the devoted spouse of the late John A. Pietrantonio. Lorraine was born on January 1, 1944, to Leo W. and Dorothy (Deneau) Murray.
After graduating from Weymouth High School in 1962, she earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in Executive Secretarial Studies from Newbury College. Lorraine dedicated many years to her professional role as a Leased Housing Administrator at the Holbrook Housing Authority. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Parish in Randolph, Massachusetts. In her retirement, Lorraine enthusiastically volunteered with the Prison Ministry and other civic organizations. She had loved animals, especially dogs.
Lorraine is lovingly remembered by her children, Joseph Monahan and his wife, Liberty, of Marstons Mills, and Richard Monahan of Middleboro, as well as her three grandchildren, Kevin, Caitlyn, and Colin, who brought her great joy. She is also survived by her sister, Janet Dauphinais, along with several nephews and nieces.
A viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home at 154 Route 6A, Sandwich, Massachusetts. A Eucharistic Mass is scheduled for February 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 5 Jobs Fishing Road, Mashpee, Massachusetts. Private graveside services will be conducted at Union Cemetery in Holbrook, Massachusetts. A Celebration of Life will be organized at a later date.
