Marilyn Ann Colombo, 78, of Sandwich passed away on October 29, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Yolanda M. (DiFabio) Colombo of Hanover, MA. Marilyn had a 38 year career at Boston University School of Medicine as a Research Biochemist. After retirement from B.U., Marilyn enjoyed a second career as a Public Health Agent for the Town of Halifax and a Board of Health Inspector for the Towns of Hanover and Hanson. A 55 year resident of Hanover, she served on the Planning Board for approximately 25 years.
Marilyn is survived by her brother, Dr. Frank E. Colombo Jr. and his wife Janice of Sandwich, nieces Susan Colombo, Joya Colombo, Heather Foley, and Jennifer Fagnant and 10 grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her nephew Timothy A. Colombo.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich. Funeral Services are private.
