Mark F. Buccheri

Born in Boston, MA son of the late Paul and Mary (Damigella) Buccheri. Mark grew up in Weymouth, MA before moving to Cape Cod in 1980. From there, he worked for many years first as an aircraft mechanic and then as a technician at the Wood Hole Oceanographic Institute.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mallory Hegarty and her husband Conor of Buzzards Bay, MA, Jamie Hartmann and her husband Daniel of Colchester, CT. Siblings include Donna Boudrot and her husband John of Florida, Stephen Buccheri and his wife Debbie of Rockland, MA, and Peter Buccheri and his wife Cathy of Halifax, MA. He was predeceased by his sister Paula Mallett and her husband Larry.

Mark found joy in hands-on activities, whether riding his motorcycle along open roads, spending long summer days at the lake enjoying boating and water sports, or tinkering with computers. He had a natural curiosity and a gift for fixing and building, always happiest when working with his hands. Above all, he loved his family deeply, and nothing brought him more pride or happiness than the time he shared with them.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home on 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association in honor of Mark.
