Richard "Rick" W. Lefavor

Richard W. Lefavor of Sandwich, MA died March 9, 2023, aged 62, at McCarthy Care Center after a long and hard-fought battle with esophageal cancer. Rick is survived by his wife Jana, their sons, Jason and his wife Kasie, and Andrew and his wife Katie, along with his father Walter Lefavor, and brothers Joseph and his wife Jane, and James and his wife Ann. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws and his fellow “outlaws”, and his “UMASS Family”. He is predeceased by his mother Virginia Lefavor.

Rick was born in Dover, DE and moved to Cotuit with his family during high school. He attended UMASS where he met many lifelong friends who became his UMASS Family. He worked at TJ Maxx until his illness. Rick loved going on cruises, attending concerts, but mostly spending time with his family and his beloved Bailey, who he missed greatly, and who we are sure greeted him with a wagging tail, begging for table scraps.

Visiting hours will be at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, at 154 Route 6A, Sandwich, MA, on Monday, March 13th from 2:00pm-4:00pm, service to follow at 4pm.
