Robert “Bobby” Walsh, 74, of East Sandwich, died peacefully on July 9, 2013 after a brief illness. He was a loving, faithful husband for 26 years to Barbara (Eifert Chapman) Walsh; step-father to Vicki Chapman and her spouse Sue; and grandfather to Destiny Mae and Camdin. He was born in Cambridge, MA, the son of the late Henry Walsh and Sheila Warner; and the brother of the late Patricia (Walsh) Clunan and his surviving sister, Sheila Walsh. Bob attended St. Mary’s and Rindge & Latin High School in Cambridge. He enlisted in the U. S. Marines in 1958 and worked at Western Electric for over 25 years. He had a great passion for his garden, feeding the birds, the Boston Red Sox and no one knew more about the music from the 1940’s and 50’s!
A visitation will be held from 10:30 am until 12 pm on Monday, July 15, 2013 in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A in Sandwich. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne follows.
