

Stephen Ray Wilson, 62, of Sandwich, passed away on October 12, 2017 at the McCarthy Care Center. He was the husband of Kathleen (Kennedy) Wilson and son of the late Harold and Helen (Lewinski) Wilson.
Stephen was born in Boston and grew up in Arlington, MA. He heard the call of duty and joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. A few years later, he and Kathleen started dating and they have been together ever since. They settled in Sandwich, where they raised their family.
Stephen was a long time resident of Sandwich. There were few things he enjoyed more than sitting by the Cape Cod Canal with a newspaper and coffee. He was an active member of both the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post #188. In his younger days, Steve was quite the outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and camping. Stephen loved to travel, however most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, both here and in Tennessee.
In addition to his loving wife Kathleen of 36 Years, Stephen is survived by his daughter Kristina LaChance and her husband Eric, his son Stephen Wilson Jr., his two grandchildren Avery and Brady LaChance, and Uncle Fay Wilson of Tennessee. Stephen was predeceased by his brother Richard Wilson.
A visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, October 17, from 4:00pm-7:00pm in the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home located at 154 Route 6A in Sandwich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Corpus Christi Parish on Wednesday October 18 at 10 am located at 324 Quaker Meeting House Rd. in Sandwich.
Burial with Military Honors will follow Mass in the St. Peter's Cemetery.
