
William Marvin Lehrer, 88, passed away on Saturday October 12th, 2013 from a serious illness. William (Bill) was born in Chicago, IL on August 18, 1925. Bill, a long-term resident of Wellesley, MA, spent his last years in East Sandwich, MA and Point Clear, AL. He leaves behind his loving wife Betsy {Martin) of 54 years of marriage; his two sons, Chip (Charles) of Providence, RI, and Joshua of New York City, NY, and his five grandchildren, Adam, Evan, Meghan, May and Tommy. During World War II, Bill was part of the Naval V-12 program and served as Assistant First Lieutenant (Jr. Officer of the deck). He attended Rensellear Polytechnic Institute and received his BS in Chemical Engineering and a MS in Metallurgical Engineering. Later he received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University. For the past 40 years, Bill has built Photofabrication Engineering, Inc., in Milford, MA, one of the largest photo etching manufacturers in the world. A memorial service will be held at the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home at 154 Rt. 6A in Sandwich, MA on October 25th, 2013 from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM Following the memorial service, Bill’s ashes will be put to rest at the Massachusetts National Cemetery on Connery Avenue in Bourne, MA, with full military funeral honors at 2:00 PM
