Betty Soublis Caras of Atlanta, GA passed away peacefully Saturday January 10, 2026 with her kids by her side. She was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She was a very strong, kind, sweet lady who loved her family dearly. Betty was a lifelong member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Atlanta, Ga. She was affectionately known as Boula to family and friends in the Greek Community. She married her husband, Billy, and raised their three children in the Atlanta Greek Community. Billy and Boula loved to socialize and dance. Betty was a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Daughters of Penelope for over 60 years.
Stricken by dementia in her final years, Betty remained the sweet, polite lady she was raised to be. Although she did not really know her family by name, she recognized them and always lit up when seeing them, especially her grandsons.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Billy Caras, parents Pete & Tina Soublis, brother Johnny Soublis, brother/sister in-law Andrew & Eula Carlos, brother-in-law Pete Caras and brother/sister in-law George & Martha Ann Caras. She leaves behind son Jimmy W. Caras (Georgia), daughter Cathy C. Radivoj (Dorel), son Pete W. Caras (Susan). Yiayia’s loving grandsons Jonathan G. Radivoj (Mary Kathryn), William J. Caras (Alexa), Nicholas W. Radivoj (Elsy) and John J. Caras (Eleni) who she affectionately nicknamed #1, 2, 3 & 4. A great legacy with great grandsons James & Jackson Caras and great granddaughters Norah Radivoj & Emeleia Caras. Betty also leaves behind her loving big sister and brother-in-law Art & Tassie Lamas, sister-in-law Joanne Soublis, cousins Angelo & Betty Patellis as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and her two special Goddaughters. Everyone who knew her will miss her and her sweet smile dearly.
Betty was blessed to have some wonderful caregivers as her dementia progressed. We would like to thank Miris and Belkys who loved and cared for our mom as well as the folks at Arbor Terrace South Forsyth. Saying goodbye is never easy but mom was blessed to have a wonderful care team at Northside Forsyth and AccentCare Hospice in Cumming who took great care of her in the end.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Atlanta.
