Brian David Makuck, 58, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on February 25, 2021, from a pulmonary embolism. Brian was predeceased by his parents, Chester and Dorothy Makuck. Brian is survived by his wife, Laura, and his four children; Jessica, Megan (Matthew) Naioti, Adam, and Angela; his sisters, Anne (Jim) Stipanowich, and Mary (Steve) Holtorf; and 8 nieces and nephews.
Brian graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Actuarial Science, becoming a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) as well an Enrolled Actuary (EA) and ECA. Brian spent 35 years in consulting, most recently in the international employee benefits area.
Brian was a devout husband and father who had a strong faith and a strong commitment to charity. He will always be remembered for his selfless character and quick wit.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family Wednesday, March 3rd from six until eight o’clock in the evening at H.M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 4th at ten o’clock in the morning at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church.
