Devra Bafs, age 54, of Marietta passed away suddenly from a pulmonary embolism on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Devra was a beautiful, fun-loving, strong, caring and patient mother to her two beautiful daughters, a devoted wife to her late husband and beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend to so many. Her daughters Abby and Tessa were the center of her universe and the light of her life, and her husband Jeff was the love of her life. Devra was loved by so many, and she had a huge sphere of influence within her family, friend group and at work. Devra was proud of her career, and she cherished her many relationships made through her work. Devra was a people person. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved the beach, live concerts of all types and the many cruises and vacations she spent with her family and friends. She loved her longtime family dog Vinny and their new puppy Roxie. She also loved to read, shop and just relax whenever she had the chance. Devra was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Bafs and father, Robert (Bob) Sladics. She is survived by her daughters, Abigail and Tessa Bafs; mother, Margaret Sladics, brother, Brian Sladics (Marcie); sister-in-laws, Lynn Rodenroth (Rob) and Kimberly Walker (Wade) and nine nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, September 27th at 11 o’clock at the Catholic Church of St. Ann, 4905 Roswell Rd., Marietta. The family will receive friends at Devra's home following the service.
