Edward was born to Edward Joseph Kilfeather, Jr. and Marguerite Cramer Kilfeather, July 8, 1939, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He attended La Salle High School and College in Philadelphia and then enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1960. He married Margaret Ann Montgomery of Philadelphia, Pa. in 1966, and they lived together in many cities before settling in Atlanta, Ga. Together they raised Eric and Edward Kilfeather, both still residing in Atlanta, Ga.
He leaves as his legacy two sons and their wives Hillary and Amy, yet most important to him, his five beautiful blonde haired grandchildren; Violet, Henry, Charlie, Connor, and Grace. His children and grandchildren will always remember him as a devoted and loving father and grandfather. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Kilfeather of Philadelphia, Pa.
Over the last four years of his life, he courageously fought and lived with the debilitating effects of progressive supranuclear palsy with the help of his most loving wife, family, friends, and caregivers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Joseph Kilfeather Jr., and mother Marguerite Cramer Kilfeather of Philadelphia, Pa.
A celebration of Edward’s life is planned this coming Thursday at H.M. Patterson & Son-Arlington Chapel, located at 173 Allen Rd NE, Sandy Springs, Ga. The visitation begins at 10 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM, with a reception to follow at noon.
