Eleanor B. Forbes, age 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 24, 2019 in Buckhead. She was born on June 25, 1927, in Birmingham, AL. to Mr. and Mrs. James G. Box. She was a graduate and valedictorian of Mrs. Howard School for Girls.
She married Cecil M. Forbes Jr., son of Cecil Marion Forbes Sr. on July 28th, 1946 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Her husband was a former WWII Navy pilot, engineer and successful businessman. Eleanor raised her family in Buckhead and was a prominent Realtor for 20 years. She is survived by her 4 children; Flora Ann Forbes of Buckhead, Cecile Kowalski of Orange Park, FL, Richard A. Forbes of Sandy Springs, GA, and Laura Jean Tirico of Cumming, GA; along with her 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Eleanor touched are invited to attend services at the H.M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, Sandy Springs, Ga. 30328 on Saturday, March 2, 2019. Family visitation begins at 1:00 PM with funeral services following at 2:00 PM.
