
Elizabeth Whitman Sudderth passed away at the age of 77 on December 3, 2014. Born in Jasper, AL, Liz as she was known to friends, lived several years in Brunswick, GA before moving back to Jasper and then to Birmingham. She attended Auburn University and after leaving she was employed by Delta Airlines as a flight attendant. While at Delta she was based in Memphis and Atlanta. She was married for 43 years to Terhune Sudderth, Jr. residing in Charlotte, NC, Doylestown, PA, London, England and finally back to Atlanta where she lived for 45 years before her death. Liz was involved in many charities over the years. She was past treasurer, secretary, 1st vice president and president of the Circle for Children, she spent many years as an active fundraiser for this charity. She was also a member of the Junior Committee for the Atlanta Symphony and was active in the Decorator Show house. She planned Empty House Party and the formal show house party, Magnolias, Mint Juleps and Moonlight in 1977. She spent many years planning parties and working on balls for money raising events for the Symphony, Save The Fox and several years on the Beastly Feast for the Atlanta Zoo and also worked on the Arthritis Ball. Liz was known for her party and ball planning for many organizations and neighborhoods where she lived. The latest being the Olde Ivy neighborhood. She was also an active member and volunteer at her church, Church of The Apostles. She was a volunteer at Leading The Way, radio and TV ministry for Church of The Apostles. She worked as a volunteer for Northside Hospital. Liz was a real estate agent for 34 years in the Atlanta area with Prudential and Jenny Pruitt Realtors which is now Harry Norman Realtors where she received Jenny Pruitt’s first Humanitarian Award for all the work she did for the community and numerous charities. Survivors are her daughter Elizabeth Robin Sudderth Bosmajian and her husband Neil, and two granddaughters Caroline Joi Bosmajian and Stephanie Alexis Bosmajian of Hermosa Beach, CA; son David Scott Sudderth and his wife Margaret, two grandsons Tyler Scott Sudderth and Connor Thomas Sudderth of Marietta. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Leading the Way at Church of the Apostles or the Woodruff Cancer Center at Emory Hospital. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 4 to 6 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. A memorial service will be Monday, December 8, 2014 at 2 o’clock at Church of the Apostles, 3585 Northside Pkwy., Atlanta, GA 30327.
