Gayle King Glassl

Gayle King Glassl of Dunwoody, Georgia passed away on July 26, 2024. She was born in Newport News, Virginia to Gilbert Dowell King and Nettie Brown King. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Markus Glassl, her daughter Elizabeth Kathrin Glassl and her cousin Sara Borden Taylor (Mike).

Gayle graduated from Gloucester High Scholl and received a Bachelors’ degree from Christopher Newport University and a Masters of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary. She had a 40-year career, starting with the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS). She then joined Siemens Corporation as a financial analyst and finished her career as a business manager with SITA.

She was a fun loving and humorous, warm person and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She had a strong work ethic and loved travelling with family and friends.

She also loved spending time with her dog, Juniper who often indulged in many treats. Her quick wit and sociable nature will be missed as she was able to talk to everyone. Gayle loved being with her family and shared holiday traditions every year.
