Geoffrey Michael Gallo, 26 of Atlanta, died on February 8, 2016. Geoff had a bright, sparkling, and independent spirit. He was deeply loved by his father Tom, mother Barbara and sister Lauren, as well as his grandmother, uncles and aunts, cousins, and friends. He was proud of his relationships with his mentors and many friends, and they gave him immeasurable joy and strength. Geoff had a strong sense of who he was from a young age, and that sense was embraced and supported by all those who knew and loved him. He had a great intellect and sharp wit, along with a unique and beautiful personal aesthetic. Much to their pleasure, Geoff’s family was regularly regaled with his latest fashion look. His infectious laugh, quizzical stares, and insightful comments will be dearly missed. When a challenge, activity, or learning opportunity caught his interest, he would tackle it with great enthusiasm and perseverance. In addition to being a wonderful chef, lover of good music, and someone who always saw the good in others, Geoff was an accomplished horseman having ridden successfully in state and local competitions for many years with Windcrest Farms. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara H. Gallo and his sister, Lauren A. Gallo. He is survived by his father, Thomas J. Gallo; grandmother, Anita Gallo; uncles and aunts, Paul Gallo (Victoria), Kenneth Gallo (Susan), James Gallo (Sue); and cousins, Matthew, Lindsay, Joseph and Elizabeth Gallo.
