Jackie V. Marler

Jacquelin Vaughn Marler, loving friend, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother died peacefully July 25, 2017. Mrs. Marler was born in Atlanta on February 10, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Read and Selma Vaughn. Jackie attended Girls High School and was a graduate from their last class in 1947. After high school she started a career with First National Bank of Atlanta as a teller and achieved the title of AVP prior to her retirement from Wachovia Bank. Mrs. Marler was a member of West End Baptist Church prior to joining Mount Vernon Baptist Church, where she was an active member. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Frank Celton Marler, Jr. and her brother, Read Vaughn, Jr. Mrs. Marler is survived by her daughters, Lynne Marler Stone (John), Lisa Anne Marler; granddaughter, Heather Marler (Tyler Rockwell); great granddaughter, Zoey Aurora Rockwell; cousin, Mary Louise Ellard; and several nieces, nephews and other cousins. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charity in Jackie’s name. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 1, 2017 beginning at 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.
